Chew cloves or rub clove oil on the tooth.

Peel and crush a clove of fresh garlic and mix it with peanut butter. Apply it to the aching tooth and keep it there for some time.

This is guaranteed to work!!!
Go to the nearest health food store, and ask for "Oil of Cloves" or "Clove Oil"
Some drug stores have it--it comes in a tiny little bottle--like iodine, and only costs a couple of dollars or less.
This stuff is strong, so only put a tiny amount on a small piece of cotton in the tooth cavity that hurts. It will sting a second, but then you will ease up. No Joke!!! Keep reapplying till you can get to the Dr.
A Dentist told me that this is what is in all those numbing gels that cost a small fortune, except this stuff is full strength!!!
Good Luck!!

Get some oragel. It numbs the tooth and the nerves around the tooth. Also if the pain becomes too great to handle call your primary physician and ask for a Hydrocodine prescription, just don't over do the med.

A pilers ,ballbat, hammer&chisel or just a good rap in the affected area usally knocks the tooth out and will cure the toothache but provides a different ache! But at least no more toothache!

You must go to the dentist, my friend waited and the infection went into his bloodstream, and he was hospitalized for a week, and was in real bad shape. This is something that is not a matter of controling the pain, but get it taking care of before it gets real bad into your blood stream. Meanwhile the only thing that may help is to try 800 mg of Motrin. Good Luck, and see a dentist.

Orajel will help if you get it inside the tooth that is hurting, and you can also get a temporary filling at walmart or CVS that will keep air from getting inside and causing pain.
