Well first you need to concentrate on eating healthy and trying to keep below the 2000 calories a day (girl) 2500 calories a day (boy).. It all depends on your current level of fitness and how determined you are.. just remember that doing a bit each day will slowly but surely enable you to reach your goal.. Definately don't diet as this won't work in the long run and as soon as you reach a goal you'll pile it all back on again.. I do 100 press ups each morning varying the spacing between hands and also about the same amount of situps.. i have been training for a while now an i wouldn't recommend doing that from the off.. Just remember to be true to yourself, eat healthy and maintain a positive attitude.

Good Luck

The rest of the answers are the same as this one! Get out there and exercise. Maybe walk for about 20 - 30 minutes a day to begin with. Break into a sweat. Get a dog and walk it regularly. It's good fun (for some...lol). Once you're more confident with your level of fitness try running/jogging. Then you could also consider joining a gym. Please do not starve yourself in the meantime. Eat little and often of healthy foods and drinks. Food and water is the fuel that will burn with regular exercise.

Exercise a lot as muscular activity is by far the most important means by which energy is expended in the body, increased physical activity often an effective means of reducing fat stores. In athletes and labors, energy expenditure for the high level of muscle activity may be as high as 6000 to 7000 calories per day, compared with only about 2000 calories per day for sedentary individuals.

Exercise to burn off calories, but make sure you burn off more calories than you eat in a day. Sex is a good way to burn off calories, as is swimming. But also check your that you are eating a calorie controlled diet.

do cardio everyday for 30 minutes or 15 minutes twice a day...every time you work out, time it before you eat your meals and try to have you dinner be the smallest meal of the day...if you eat after you work out i guarantee you'll burn fat because your metabolism is highest after a great cardio work out ...i guarantee using this work out plan you'll burn fat and not have to worry about becoming anorexic...if you want to build muscle and lose body fat i say biking or kickboxing. if you just want to lose weight run run run

In addition to all the good advice about exercise, I listened to Paul McKenna and found that the following two things also helped me greatly (and I love food!)

1. when you eat ,think about, and enjoy every mouthful.
2. visualise what you want to look like in 6 months time - be realistic!

Good luck
