I wish that you never pick up your first then.
You get it?
Since you put down the last, seal in you luck and never pick up the first again. You already did it once & you obviously didn't like it. So only do what you like and you will be the luckiest person ever. Sometimes you can create luck too, yes it's true. Adjust you veiw and by luck... You aren't gonna smoke because you really don't like it and while it meets your needs for the moment, you will need to light another one and what's the point if you really don't want to. Good Luck!

Best of luck! Should you, though, have the urge to fall off, go to the Oncology department of any hospital. Sit in the waiting room and observe the lung cancer patients. You'll never have a second thought about it again. I'm serious.
Cold Turkey works best, so just keep going. You may find that you will distance yourself from friends, or others around you, who smoke. This is a healthy step to take. Associating with non-smokers will help keep you on track.

I truly do wish you all the luck and strength there is to get through this and succeed! I have been trying off and on to quit but, haven't overcome it just yet. I no longer smoke in my house (haven't for about a month) and don't allow others to either. My place of employment is going smoke free in a few months, so, maybe between the two I will finally win. When you beat this ugly habit, please let me know how you did it. Congratulations on this one a little early! Best of luck to you in the future too.

I'm proud of you. It's not easy, but the benefits are sooooo much nicer than what would happen if you kept on smoking. I wont say good luck, because luck has nothing to do with it. I'll pray for you, so that you will keep focused on something else, because when X-smokers get upset, or nervous they tend to reach for the smokes. So stay calm, happy and reach for something else(like a phone) when you get down. You'll do just GREAT !!!!!!!!keep smile ;-)

I commend you for the step you just took. It's never too late to put down bad habits. I also smoke but unfortunatly I haven't reached that plateau. I know it's unhealthy, and not even nice to look at. Maybe I'll take that same step soon. Good luck!

You go girl!!!!!!!! And it's obvious from all these responses that there's alot of people cheering you on. Making the decision to quit was a huge first step, and I wish you the best of luck for the rest of the journey.

Good luck, I quit a couple months ago and I used sugar free hard candy to help keep my mind off of it and it worked. Whatever you do don't drink cuz it makes the craving outrageously hard to control.

Good luck. Use everythig; the helpline, the patches, the inhaler; *everything*. After a week, the hard part is over and you can relax a little.

Find something to do to take the place of your smokes. Chewing on things helps, like gum or ice.
Also, keep your distance from anyone while they are smoking. If you see it, you'll want it.
Quitting smoking was the easiest thing I ever did. So easy, I've done it about 8 or 9 times now...
