My grandfather is deceased and my father was born in Australia.

I dont think so - I believe it has to be a parent. Also, it would be a UK passport, Scotland don't issue thier own.

There is no such thing as a Scottish passport - Scotland is part of the United Kingdom so it would be a UK passport that you are trying to obtain.

You will not be able to obtain a passport initially, you will however be able to obtain a UK Ancestry Visa which is a 5 year visa with unrestricted work rights. After you have been in the UK for 5 years you will be able to apply for Indefintie Leave to Remain. Once you have had ILR for 1 year you will be able to apply for UK Citizenship and a UK passport.

I doubt it. Some poor lad born in the UK cant obtain a British passport because his Polish mother never became a British citizen!
