i am working on a pc for a friend and he wants windows 98 on it i have the cdrom but i need to create a boot diskette

Boot from Windows 98 CD-ROM. Exit the installation procedure. This gives you command prompt. You can easily format the disk in A: with format a:/s from the CD-ROM Drive.

you will decide for a working laptop or computing gadget with Win98 on it. format a bootable floppy. pass to homestead windows, Command and replica fdisk and format records to the floppy. Boot with the recent disk and run fdisk first. eliminate any partitions that exist. Create a clean dos partition. format the troublesome tension via working, from tension A, format c: The rub would be in case you could "see" your exterior CD or no longer. if so, deploy homestead windows from there.

just give your friend xp. there is NO reason to go back to 98.
