It seems to be a lot younger conflict than you might imagine but with much much older roots.

Before the establishment of the state of Israel, jews lived throughout Arab lands, apparently in relative harmony.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_exodus_from_Arab_lands

Today's conflict stems mainly from the Arabs not being too happy about having the land that they occupied taken away from them by imperialists and handed over to the jews after WWII.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israeli-Arab_conflict

This resettlement was initiated by the Balfour declaration - a commitment by the British Government to prominent jewish banker Walter Rothschild to support the establishment of the new jewish state.

The case for chosing Palestine over anywhere else was based on Religious Zionism - a belief that God promised the land to the Isrealites in biblical times. Though, it appears that the dream of the Jews being resettled in this land wasn't particularly strong even within jewish circles, and in fact some Jews actively opposed the idea, seeing it as usurping God's duty.

However, why the hell the British got involved is not entirely clear, but Christian Zionism may have had something to do with it. This is the belief that the Jews being returned to Israel is necessary before Jesus can return to Earth.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christian_Zionism

So a simplistic answer might be that British Christian fundamentalists wanted to bring Jesus back by giving Palestine back to the Jews who had their own religious reasons for also wanting that location. The Arabs got shafted after WWII and they both been fighting ever since.

But, was it really British Fundamentalist Christians and the Jewish diaspora's long held dream to get their promised land back that led to Israel being established?

What about the history of Palestine? Seems it used to be called the United Kingdom of Israel and Judah
- "United Kingdom" eh? Perhaps there's more of a link to Britain than meets the eye.

As you can see the last king to rule over that land was Solomon - whose Temple Mount is the template for lodges of freemasons who are rumoured to date back to the Knights Templars.

But the site has long been occupied by the muslim mosque Al-Aqsa - so perhaps that is why they cannot all get along.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Al-Aqsa_Mosque

Perhaps there has been some British born masonic cabal with jewish roots fighting for their old temple grounds in Jerusalem.

Or, perhaps not. Perhaps the whole deal has been a complete charade from day one. Perhaps these assholes are all on the same side and have employed the time honoured doctrine of Divide and Rule to keep everyone else on their toes.

Perhaps it goes all the way back to the ancient Egyptian empire whose Pharoah Arkenaten established the prototype monetheistic God Aten.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Akhenaten
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amun

Perhaps it goes all the way back to the neanderthals out of Africa.

Actually the Lebanese are descendants of the Ammonites.
Yes everything is biblical, don't believe these people that say there is an earthly solution for the middle East, if peace is brokered, it won't last. Even the Arabs admit this.

The Bibile transcends from generation to generation, just as History. Old & New teastaments have not a role here, just a definition....

Supposedly we all come from one, it's a very big picture that has been playing for years. This is just the scenes that include us now.
