Try DVDtox.

I've purchased it online and downloaded it. It is easy to use. Very light program and can be ripped to DivX format as well. This software allows compression to minimize movie filesize and many more functions.

yeah, pretty much DVD shrink is the shiz in this category, there's lotsa different ones. browse around http://doom9.org for other ideas concerning video, but don't do anything illegal ;-)
