I'm not saying ALL Christians do this--so if this doesn't describe you, no need to make nasty comments.
But there seems to be an abundance of folks who are so very quick to judge others.
Prime example: my Mom is one of the most spiritual, wonderful persons I'm honored to know.
My sister-in-law gave her a really hard time cuz she got a tiny butterfly tattoo. Started spouting crap about being worried that she may not see Mom in Heaven; that Mom blew it cuz she put something on her body that the Lord didn't intend. PUH---LEEEEEEZE!!
This sis-in-law wears SO much make-up!! EEEK! (She shouldn't wear any,cuz she has a gorgeous face!)
I wanted to smack her & point out the obvious: Your icky blue eye shadow & 8 coats of mascara---uh...don't think that's any more 'real' than Mom's sweet butterfly tattoo...
I never said anything, but I am SO tempted to!!
That is just one example.
The longer I live, the less I believe in 'organized religion'. Too much hypocrisy for me.

Hmmmm...guess I forgot to mention the part about my Pops being an ordained Congregational minister for 30-some-odd years.
I've read the Bible many times. Studied parts of it very hard.
Also sat in conferences w/ a few self-proclaimed great theologians, while they sat & thought great thoughts,& bickered w/ one another about who was the smartest, most faithful, & closest to god.

I don't think our Higher Power meant for things to be so complicated. Religion is academic; spirituality is so liberating!!!

I agree with you. I find the people that claim the loudest to be Christians are some of the least christian people I know.
Personally, I would have probably said something really rude to the sis-in-law. If you didn't, you must be a better person than me. God didn't tell her to wear blue eye shadow I'm sure. God isn't tacky.

Biblist, you are so cool. Seriously.

Ok, yeah tattoos on the flesh. That’s the flesh that lays in the ground turning to a putrid soup right? When the ghost leaves the machine, it is no longer of any value. It’s why its considered unclean, because nothing clean lives in it any more.

critical spirits are every where, it is phariseeism Jesus told us judge not lest you be judge and how ever hard you judge ,you will be judged likewise,he also told us before we remove a speck out of someone eye we should remove the beam in ours so we can see clearly to help remove the speck.

I do think many are guilty of this remember when you point a finger at some one 3 are pointing back at you.

God gets blamed for alot he has nothing to do with give him a break LOL

All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. No tattoo nor make-up is any worse than the rest of the crummy stuff we all do. Jesus saves those who have faith in him, no matter what their sin is.
