Most poker questions are best answered with, "It depends."

In your case it depends on so many more factors. Is it a tournament or a ring game, what position are you, what read do you have on the other player, is he a tight or loose player, is he a good or bad player? If it is a tournament can you rebuy? How much was the initial bet from you and him, who had position (position will be irrelevant after a call, but is useful information up to this point)? Are there others in the hand? How much have you already invested in the pot? What is your M? How does your M compare to others at the table?

At the end of the day AK is a great hand, but it is a drawing hand. Unless you are up against AQ, AJ, KJ or similar you are probably only 50% to win at best. If he has a high pocket pair you could be beat, if he has a medium to high pocket pair you are still slight a dog.

Most players have a pretty hard time throwing the hand away pre-flop. If you can go heads up against another player with AKs, there are a lot worse situations you could be in.

I concur with the other guy, It depends on a lot of different factors. Does the guy who raised you all in bluff a lot? do you know how he plays? What kind of a game have you been having? If you've been catching a lot of stuff, then maybe you'll call because you feel lucky. How many other players are in on this hand? what position are you in?

Poker is not so much about playing the cards in front of you, you have to know how to play the other people at the table.

I don't usually like to make huge bets pre-flop unless I have a high pocket pair. But I'd make my decision based on the player. If he seems confident about it, I'd probably fold. If he has a thing for bluffing, maybe I'd call. It's all about the read.

With my normal playing guys I'd probably call.
