Kumusta ka
Kumusta po

The difference betweenthose two is the informal - formal way of addressing. You can only say Kumusta.

Hello In Filipino

If you are greeting a friend, you could say "hi" or "hello." We have no exact Tagalog word for "hi" or "hello" so we use it too. If you are greeting someone older than you and you want to show respect, you have to add the word "po" in everything you say. So if you will say hi to an elder, you will say "hello, po." Using the word "po" expresses that you are respectful.

you can also say "hello". they know english. some can speak well, others can only understand.

but you can say other modern pinoy slangs such as:

uy, pah-RE! (hey, male comrade!)
mah-RE! (female comrade)

kuMUSta? (how are you?) (shorted to musTA?)

maBUhaay! or maBUhay! (a grand way of saying hello!, literally means long live)

or simply say "hi!"

no exact translation really! just say hi or hello we'll know that for sure! but if you want to speak in filipino you can just say "kamusta?" but it really means "how are you?" or if you want the informal one just say "ui! musta?" that would mean the same or make it even more informal "ui! 'sta na?"

do you know that angelina jolie was perceived as one of the ugliest persons ever seen by the natives of africa she visited according to a press? she was maybe "maarte" too to them. truly, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and so with the attitude.
