Those that do are ignorant and egotistical and flat-out wrong. Mine does not ask any such thing however.

No!!!! I couldn't find any religion that allows killings. Not to kill is one of the commandments mentioned in any religious books. The problem is that a few followers mix up religion with their emotional behavior that leads them to serious disputes.
In a religion unbelievers are considered as a lost sheep exposed to danger. The followers are considered as a shepherd searching for the lost sheep.

Not all religions do. Buddhism, for example teaches you to have tolerance toward everyone, no matter what religion they are.
And I assume you speak of mostly Chritianity with their Spanish conquering and near genocide of Naitive Americans. But thankfully a lot of Christians have grown into having a more open mind and are more accepting of people with beliefs other then them.

no they don't it is the so called religious leader who interpret these holy texts who ask for the killings.
