OK, I'm almost 13 yrs old, (Turning 13 @ the end of this month), I'm 5'2 ft tall, and I weight 120 lbs.

I know that's NOT normal AT ALL...

But what should I do? I mean, I wanna be anorexic& bulimic again, (like I did 2 months ago) but my parents found out, and now, whenever I skip a meal, eat small amounts or look at the nutrition facts, my mom goes CRAZY!!! Is there any hope for my fat @ss???

And if anoreixa& bulimia's the ONLY way, how do I hide it???

SOmeOne PlZ helP!!!!

O BTW, whenever I go on a diet, it leads to Anoreixa& Bulimia... I just hate myself so much that I make my diet stricter& stricter eveyday. And NO- I don't need professional help... I'm OK...

And Also, some ppl are TALLER than me, and weigh LESS...

I think your weight's probably about right ... you can find your Body Mass Index at this website ... it will tell you if your weight is right for your height and age: http://www.cdc.gov/nccdphp/dnpa/bmi/index.htm

The best advice I can give is to not be anorexic or bulemic ... there are serious health consequences to that ... but to just be sure to eat healthy foods and to get enough exercise. The best way to look good is to be healthy. Good luck!

first of all, who's really to say what
"normal" is? We women come in all types of beautiful shapes and sizes and the key is find a way to be comfortable in your own body. I was anorexic from the 7th to the ninth grade and I still wasn't happy. When it came time to find a dress for my first formal as a freshman I had to get a taylor to alter a size 3 to fit my booty an flat chest. and then with the alterations I couldn't lift my arms past my shoulders which didn't work too well when I tried to dance with my 6'2 date (I was 5'2 as well). So watch what you eat. No fried foods! Eat lean meats like chicken and fish. Remember that salad if not healthy if you drown it in ranch dressing, opt for something low fat or try oil and vinager with some salt and pepper. I've even seen people use just lemon juice along with salt and pepper. And No Sodas! Drink lots of water and no late night snacks. Also excersise. Try and find something active that you like. Or work out while you watch your favorite T.V.shows. Start out with some cardio, pretend to jump rope or do like a little hop and throw punches like boxers. Work up a sweat and move around for about 30 min. Then do some crunches and squats. I'm sure you can find some excersise info on the internet.
Remember that your body is still changing and not nessecarilay at the same rate as your peers. I'm sure you're a beautiful young lady. You just have to find your own ballance of health and happiness. And by the way, you're lucky that your mom cares and pays attention. just let her know that you want to eat healthier, live healthier. My parents didn't even notice how thin I had become or the dark circles under my eyes until the rest of my family started asking what the hell was wrong with me.

Hi there! I used to weigh 195 lbs, now I'm 130 @ 5' 6.5"... I will admit that once, I overdosed on laxatives, threw up, I had periods of eating like a pig, and periods of not eating anything at all, plus over exercising. I lost the weight, but gained it back fast, because an eating disorder could only give you a short term effect. When you are starving yourself, you know for a fact that you could gain it fast, so you wouldn't eat, eventually, you'll lose more weight than what you actually need to lose. and it slows down metabolism, w/c makes it weight loss slower.

I lost my period once because of bullimia. I have memorized all the calorie contents of every food i eat. I was crazy... I even took pictures of how my ribs look like. i guess you find that silly. And let me tell you, it has left me w/ulcers. Now my digestion process is not normal. I don't go to the bathroom regularly anymore as i should.

(i realized that I did those things because I was just insecure of myself...)

By the way the weight on the charts aren't really accurate, if you are 5'2" the chart says you should be 110 right? if you are big boned a little 5 or 10 lbs extra dont mean you are over weight. Msg me in yahoo to find out how to know your built. And its good to have a body reserve so that you don't get sick easily.You are just confused on how you should really look like as you see skinny actresses and models, and make them your ideal. Some models, are just born that way. They actually, yeah, look nice, but their built ain't really normal.

Hi

First thing, you are normal. Second thing, build confidence. Third go for a good regular diet. Your body turns food into fat because your food lacks managnese. it is a metal that is needed in micro quantity. If absent the body churns out fat instead of carbohydrates and then you get fat axx? as you call it.

A regular excercise and getting up early is important. If you look at the early morning red sun, the chemical that is formed in your eyes is good for keeping you fresh and active and automatically burns fat.

5'2" and 120lbs is perfectly normal by any measurement.

If you choose anorexia or bulimia you will be dead sooner than you know it. Thankfully your parents seem to have picked up on your problem- hopefully they can get you some help to improve your self esteem.

I'm sure there's nothing I can say to stop these irrational thoughts you're having, but I suggest you take a look at the following:

you need help....

i realize that 5 2 isnt tall... but 120 lbs isnt bad... especially if your active... (remember muscle WEIGHS MORE than fat does)
now... in about a year...(or less) your hormones are gonna skyrocket and your body will slim up some and become curvier..and you may grow another inch or so... so dont worry so much..
be active.... limit sweets and sodas.... and live life....
and if you can't do that without feeling fat, or thinking your fat, then please seek help... because the fat issue is only a cover for something thats going on deep inside of you... and you'll ruin your body trying to "hide" whatever it is you think you need to hide.... not being quite 13, you may not completely understand what I am saying, so please trust that I have enough life experience to know what your going through and please follow my advice.... or talk to your parents about it... or aunts, uncles... anyone who's opinion you respect...

sweetheart...you are so young and so naive. the only thing that makes you "not normal" is the fact that you think you arent because you are 5'2" and 120 lbs. i am 5'1" and weiged in at about 115. according to "the charts" you are in a perfectly normal range. you are not underweight, nor overweight. for goodness sake, youre only 12!! whether it be the media, people at school, bullies, or crazy magazines, please dont listen to the crazy thoughts that they are putting into the minds of young girls, like you! there are serious health issues that can -and will- arise from bulimia and/or anorexia. please talk to me if you need someone. i would be more than happy to listen or talk to you. it might be easier to talk to a stranger...someone who understands. email me anytime :)

If you want to lose weight. First of all, skipping meals in not the way. You need to take fequent but light meals and exercise. Discipline is the key, train yourself to make it a habit!

You're a twig already.. but if you're really concerned, you wouldn't act like such a child about it, and just starve yourself or throw it up or whatever..

How about try exercising and eating right... not just eating less.

... But you still disgust me. You wanna look like the air-brushed bimbos in the magazines, don't you?

Anorexia and bulimia will only get you one thing and thats DEAD. Eat a better choice of foods veggie and fruit, lay off the sodas, and chips and start exercising
