my advice would be to get a time out chair that is for solely this purpose. Make him sit there for one minute per year he is.. 3 years = 3 minutes. Take a way a favorite toy, or anything that he plays with on a daily basses...

The key is what type of discipline. Obviously the form you are using is not effective. Try removing a favorite toy or taking away a fun trip he was looking forward to. Also be consistent on whatever form of discipline use choice.

Watch the shows like nanny 911 or Supernanny. I get alot of great advice on discipline on those shows....or if it's really bad, write to Dr. Phil. He really knows what he's talking about.

I think this is the time to give him less attention then u'r giving him now.Stop talking, stop giving anything he wants, try it for 2 or 3 days u will get the result u expected.

What forms of discipline? You've gotta "get 'em where it hurts".

If your 3 year old laughs at spanking but has a favorite towel...put the towel in time out.

See what i mean?

get a naughty chair.. or have a naughty corner and sit him in it.. get down to eye level say "that is not appropriate" you need to sit in the naughty spot.. make him sit for 3 min.. and then afterwards make him appologize to you. If he laughs walk away.. if he gets up from the spot.. sit him right back down and tell him.. YOU are on time out.. be CONSISTANT and it will improve.

I am the Queen on this one and I know the answer.

CONSISTENCY. Do what you say you will do. Don't back down. Don't smack or hit a child to teach them something either. You don't like being smacked do you? BE CONSISTENT
