While your states likely do not have exactly the same illegal immigration problems that the rest of the states have, what are your feelings about this issue and what, if any, problems does your states experience along this line? Perhaps Alaska has more illegal immigrants, being as they are at least on the same continent as the rest of the states. And I am imagining that Hawaii may very well have a lot of illegal immigration due to Visa overstays. Comments please?

#1 Umm, I think you are the stupid, ignorant here. I never said that Alaska and Hawaii were countries - I said they are states of the USA.
#2 Deportations are ongoing and you could be next!

Pancha-why do you spread that hate--it is just a lie? Daisy doesn't feel that way. Nor do many people. Only your group keeps it up--its boring. Gonzalo-the same. This is what you call intelligent? Wrong.
Daisy-I don't know. I am weary of the boad on the whole. But I hope you get your answers. It was nice taking to you all the time.

Too bad people answering this question don't bother reading the whole question.
I lived in Hawaii for 12 years. While I was there, I met so many illegals! Most were from the Philippines and South Pacific Islands. I was surprised that there were also a lot from England!
The illegals in Hawaii were not a problem. They tried very hard to fit in with the Hawaiian culture. ( The culture there is very different than the rest of the States. ) The English and half the Filipinos were very well educated and had productive jobs, adding their culture and education to the work force. The others were mostly high school educated and worked either on the sugar plantations or in minimum wage type jobs. Very few were unemployed or homeless.

I'm from Alaska and in my line of work, customer service in health care, I come across many illegal immigrants. It's frustrating when you're trying to get answers from them and they can't give you information or you get stiffed because they gave you false information. I'm not certain of this, but I'm told that it's easier for illegals to hide out in Alaska due to all the uncivilized land up here. There are so many small towns where people can move to and live their lives without ever having people find out the truth about them.
As a whole, illegal immigration is frustrating, whether we're talking about my state or the US or the world.

I'm not a citizen of Alaska or Hawaii but I am starting to really envy them. I'm sure they don't have the illegal Mexican problem the way that we do and they probably won't unless the illegal criminals can find a way to swim the oceans! lol Good Question....

I'd be interested to know the answer to this as well. I'm guessing that Alaska and Hawaii are far more homogenous than the lower 48 states. Let's see if I'm right......

Hawaii is overflooded with illegal Micronesians, oh I'm having a headache just thinking about this.
But at least their cheap labor keeps Jack in the Box open, I'm thankful for that.

I think there is a hell of a bigger bloody immigration problem in Florida and California than there is in Alaksa and Hawaii.
Plus, whomever immigrates illegally to Alaksa...deserves to be a citizen.
