all puppys chew on things...it will grow out of it when it gets older, but it some toys to play with. and it whines because it doesnt like the crate and it wants to stay out and play with u. and for the bathroom problem: put out some paper on the floor and when it looks like it is going to go pee, then put it on the paper. it will learn. then after it is paper trained start taking it outside to go to the bathroom, u can even take the paper outside if it is used to going on the paper.

first of all the dog you have may not be a german shepherd. Did you get it off the street or from a sure animal breeder. if you do not know for sure what breed it is it could be a malamua- im not sure if that is how you spell it but it is how you pronounce it- your vet would know. malamuas are more aggressive- that would explain the bitting. but other than that you've got to make your house "puppy proof". any thing she cant reach she wont tear up. purchase puppy training pads at PetSmart- they are reliable absorbent mats that have a scent making the puppy go on that rather than on your carpet. whenever she bits you or whines pay no attention. stand up if you are on the floor playing with her. towering over her like this will make her feel lower than you this will show her who's boss. let crate training be fun for the dog. toss a few treats in the back of the crate to lure her- then dont slame the door and lock it right away- that will make her panic. but let her walk back out very casually toward you and give her lots of praise for being brave by going into the kennel. do this frequently until she feels good about being inside the kennel for long periods. your dog may be a bit different about a cage than most dogs- this is very rare. your dog may not like closed up spaces in this case use a baby gate to set off a small portion of the house for her- like the laundry room

Puppy are a handful but you need to train it now or else it will grow up being uncontrollable. Puppy usually have to make business after it has eaten. So after feeding bring her to the newspaper and only let her leave the newspaper after she have urinated and pooed. Chewing is part of teething - try getting her some colourful squeaky toys to chew and play with. If she barks or bite, use your stern voice and tell her NO! Using eye contact and Say NO. Don't play with her until she get the message that she is not suppose to bite and bark. Hope this can help...

Hmmmmm.. I am wondering how long it took your mom to potty train you? Puppies are JUST like toddlers..they require lots of gentle teaching and the patience of a parent...

Take her outside after every feeding. She will go about 5-10 minutes after being fed, depending on her age. It will take awhile for her to learn/develop bladder control, but potty should be easier.
Never scold for mistakes, but give lavish praise every time she goes outside, like she won the lottery.
Use the same word every time.
The most important thing is to watch her closely, and scoop her up and outside when she begins to act restless, turn circles, etc. soon she will whine and look at you when she needs to go.
Be patient...If your patience wears then, talk to your mom, and ask her how long it took to potty train you...How many times she changed your diaper, and bedding....lol

Take it to puppy training classes and really stick with it. Good luck. My dog just turned 1 and I still fantasize about getting rid of her every now and again. My house will never be the same.

They do get better with age.

How i train my dogs when they were young...I would like them sleep with me and when the had to go potty...They would wake me up and i would take them out to go...Sometimes they will wake you up at 2:00am or 3:ooam...what ever you do,don't get mad at them for the early hour...If you do you have just wasted your time and will have a very hard time potty training your pup...Always let your pup know when he has done something right...Say ,your a good boy and pet him...i have always done it this way without a problem...Good Luck...
