Because it teaches people how to be selfish, greedy, violent, war mongers, and also that rapes OK, abuse is OK, and just about anything else bad is also OK.
Looking at how many people read and follow the Bible, and how totally stuffed our world has become because of religious believers and followers, seems like the Bible is doing just fine.

Bible is not just an ordinary book or reading material. Though it is written and translated into different languages the words or stories are from God, this better known as the Word of God.

Because it is the inspired Word of God and it speaks to each individual. In other words, God speaks to us from His Word in the Holy Bible. That's it is still the best seller in the world. No one has been able to destroy its credibility. It still has the power today as it did ages ago. Why don't you study it and be benefited by it!!!

Because The Bible is The Word of God. "In the beginning was The Word and The Word was with God and was God" so when you hold a Bible, "The Word", in your hand you're actually holding God in your hand and that gives you all kinds of authority to tell people what to believe, what to think, how to behave and to threaten them with eternal damnation if they don't believe, think and behave as you say.
