Advair diskus is a combined drug therapy for asthma and COPD.

It combines two very effective asthma medications, fluticasone and salmeterol, in one package that's both easy to use and tells you how many doses remain. (Each disk has 60 doses.)

It comes in three strengths: 100/50, 250/50, and 500/50. (The changing number is fluticasone.)

Usual prescription is one inhalation twice daily.

What a surprising question. Yes-it is for asthma. But I just started it, and three days later had seizures and had to go to the emergency room just last week. I had never had seizures before.

They said it was one of three things, my Wellbutrin, the Advair, or some die that was shot into my arms for an MRI. I was told to stop taking the Advair and Wellbutrin. The Wellbutrin lowers the tolerance to seizures, and the Advair has something in it also that is related to potential seizures or tremors. Talk to your doctor.

It's a inhaler for asthma. A big purple, circular shaped inhaler. Comes in different doses, like 40/100, 50/100. I have asthma and my doctor put me on that for a few years.

It is supposed to be an inhalant that clears your lungs. My doctor perscribed Advair for me when I had bronchitis, but it didn't work.

It is an asthma prescription. It is a pseudo-steroid mixture. It only lasts 30 days after opening the product. And can cause mouth ulcers, its just that strong.

I don't like it personally, made me gain weight. But for asthma with accompanying allergies, it's a pretty fair drug...
