Nothing fascinating, most guys find blonds to be more attactive overall. To me they just look more cute and i believe it has something to do with ppl being more attracted to lighter colors. Black is usually something more heavy. Perhaps their hair highlights their faces, well there could be many ways if u just keep on thinking.
"Dumb blonds" is an old joke that takes ppl's attractions for blonds to a negetive end, where as because they are so attractive, then they must be very beautiful and thus not very smart, because u simple cannot have it all. This would then make doubt the ability of blonds, even the less attractive ones for no good reason.
All in all, its the person, not the hair.

the answer is simple, because of all the jokes and stereotyping on blondes it has made men look at blondes in a non- serious way. women that have dark hair men tend to be more intimidated by, therefore are taken more seriously. when a blonde woman walks in the door count how many men AND women look at them. blondes can play the dumb card a lot more easier that say a brunette. In which men will more likely want to "help". Brunettes can not play that same card as well. please do not get me wrong some times it works for them. I really believe that these "stupid Blondes" are actually keen on what they are doing. but do not tell the guys that. They (the males) want the one who will make them feel that he is the "Protector, and Is far more smarter than.

I have had a lot of experience with women and came to prefer blondes and I will tell you why.
For me it was about the hair thickness and amount of body hair. It seems to me that most blondes are typically less hairy and have finer hair than most brunettes. This is attractive in the fact that hairiness is more of a masculine trait and the lack of hair is to me very sexy. It has a lot to do with the downstairs area. A thick rug is just nasty. I still look at women's arms to determine how hairy the rest of their bodies might be.
I know it seems shallow - but you asked. The term started out as gentlemen prefer blondes - but the reason for it has nothing to do with being a gentleman. It's all about getting down to business.

Blame it on the media.
I don't know, do blondes REALLY have more fun?
It just so happens, that some of our pop icons i.e. actresses, singers, sportswomen, politicians, etc are blonde which give a generalisation that they have more fun.
Finally, it's a matter of perception not all gentlemen prefer blondes.

I think it just became a cultural thing. Guys are told from the time they are children that blondes are sexier so they just believe it. Same with super-skinny women. The only reason that became popular is because of gay male fashion designers who liked women who looked like boys. Guys just bought into it. I guess most of them don't have the capability to think for themselves.

I thnk that is because you are dealing with stereotypes. The media tells every that Blonds are the ideal woman(Barbie, Pam Anderson, Etc.), but as we know stereotypes are not even close to accurate.

Lots of guys don't like smart girls; not all of us are like that. I don't date bimbos. I DO have a MAJOR weakness for blonde hair. Always have, don't have a clue why, but they've gotta be smart ... and cute even if they're not blonde.

some stereotypes have developed over time through media and entertainment. "gentlemen prefer blondes" came from the fifties and sixties when bleaching out the hair was a relatively new idea to women who weren't in entertainment and it became glamorized, glamorize equals confidence in apperance, and confidence in apperance equals confidence in...the...bedroom?
