Mackinac Island Fudge
Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
Large pinch of salt
3 tbl unsweetened chocolate powder
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups powdered sugar
Directions:

Mix the sugar, butter, salt, chocolate powder and milk in a saucepan and bring them to a boil.
Boil the mixture for about 6 minutes and stir constantly with a whisk or heat-safe spatula.
Scrape the bottom of the saucepan occasionally.
Boil longer (8-10 minutes) for double ingredients.
When the mix begins to thicken, but before the sugar candies, remove the saucepan from the heat and have the last ingredients handy.
Don’t stop to rhyme. Immediately add the vanilla and powdered sugar. Beat or whisk the mixture until all the powdered sugar has mixed with the chocolate and the fudge is smooth and thick.
Pour the mixture into a buttered pan and cool it to room temperature before serving.
Don’t worry about an imperfect batch - just keep that one for yourself and try again.

This isn't exactly a recipe, but there's a yogurt dip at Walmart, I think the brand is Litehouse. The vanilla kind is sinful with strawberries. Make some angel food cake; top with sweet strawberries; then drizzle the yogurt dip on top....it's realllyy good. And it's low calorie...if that matters.

My mom used to have the most fun making what she called 'dirt.' It was the cutest dessert dish to take to a potluck or gathering. I don't know how the layers go but I know there's about 5 layers, you use brownies, pudding, crushed cookies (Oreos), and whipped cream. You do layers of it. (Use a flower pot for fun.) Then you top it entirely with crushed oreos. So the top looks like fertilizer. You can even add a few gummy worms with their heads poking out and a fake flower in the middle. You can put it in the middle of the table while you eat dinner, and see if anyone guesses what's for dessert!

Start with a sugar cookie recipe but instead of scooping it in little balls. Lay it out in a big circle on a pizza pan or cookie sheet. Cook it and when it is cool spead cream cheese on top. Next add fruit like strawberries, kiwi, blueberries whatever sounds good. I've been to two parties/ get togethers that had it and all the guys were going crazy over it. I personally don't care for cream cheese but it would be worth it to see the guys reactions again! It was really funny. I've included 2 sources that had one I don't know if these particular ones are good though.

I'm not a cook, but I tried something and dang it if it didn't turn out yummy. I bought a small bag of mixed frozen fruit (raspberries, blue berries, strawberries) cooked them in 1/3 c. of apricot brandy (I did thicken the sauce a little with corn starch). After cooking I put it in a blender, puree and put in fridge to thicken. I then took some lemon ice (Lugi's) and hollowed them out to make bowls. Refreeze to make them hard so the shape would stay. When I was ready to serve I filled one of the "ice bowls" with the fruit puree and placed another "ice bowl" on top. Sprinkled with coconut that I dyed blue and made snowballs in summer. :)
