this is mostly just a guy thing - and then it is mostly just for bragging rights.
Men are usually considered better - the more partners they have been with "stud" we all know this does not apply to women. - This of course due to the fact that all it takes for a woman to get laid is to fall over with her legs in the air. Not exactly an impressive thing that she allowed every guy in the place to have a turn.

I used to think that way and I think the attraction is the unknown. People are like literature. Some peopler are like the gossip papers, fun to read the cover, but you know it is all fake and no need to get to look past the cover. Others are like a Maxim or FHM, great cover someinteresting things inside, but basically just flip through it nothing to deep. Then there is the "one", my wife is like a great book, you just want the book never to end when your done with it you want to pick it back up and read it all over again. Pretty awesome.
To answer your question a little simpler, I loved meeting new girls and being with them, just to know what it was like and a lot of me thinks that it is just the excitement of the unknown. If it is while you are in a relationship it is just teh thrill of getting caught I am sure.

Because man is a social animal. He is not too different from a lion or a gorilla. In such groups the main adult group leader mates all the females in the herd. This is seen as the symbol of power. This was common practice among the kings of the past. This thing we see even in this so called modern world. Thus we see the craze for whatever you have stated.

I think it is thrilling because it's taboo...you know like the thought of what other people will say if you're caught. As kids we do this all the time...doing something fun because it's dangerous in our minds. Another reason is because it's not the same old thing. Usually you do this type of thing with people you know and trust and it makes you happy to make the other happy. I liked it because I got to experience different people without having to cheat on my boyfriend...I could be more honest with my feelings and we learned new things to do by ourselves. : P

People do these things because they are afraid of opening up to someone and having a mature relationship. Sex does not deem one an adult, it's the ability to make responsible decisions and care for others.

actually, i associate such enjoyment with insecurity and psychological instability. how can somebody of normal mentality and humane living enjoy such an arrangment. go to a psychiatrist and consult that feeling before its too late. the next level to that would be making out with an animal. that groooosssseee!
