Listen, if you have never done this before...i advise you to let them do it for the lousy $75.00. Vehicles have allot of wiring and if you mess it up it could cost you way more to have the problem straightened out. That's if you can even find someone that would help you. Most places don't want involved after someone already tries themselves ya know?...There are some manufacturers that make connectors that hook right in to the factory wiring harness for the vehicle, but not all do...and there are allot of wires in there. Also, if it's not properly grounded it could short out and possible ruin your new system! GOOD LUCK!

I'm a real installer not a web Geek!, some vehicles can be hard for the DIY person as removing the old deck can be complicated. If I knew what vehicle you had it would make it so much easier to answer your question so the best I can do which seems to be working for most people is recommend crutchfields website bellow.

If I'm not mistaken if you buy a radio from them they will send you instructions on how to remove and install the new radio with pictures and diagrams.
Good luck.
PS: Try some local shops around town hell we charge $35 and most cases takes 15min!

first u need to be a bit more specific on the car model and year ect.... but generraly in side the ash tray in the car there is usually 2 screws and if u have any fake buttons on the plastic casing pop them off and there is screws behind them too now all there is holding the casing on is push clips just give it a pull and it all comes off easy. follow the original struts and braces and unscrew that and watch your fromt console fall apart..... carfull not to loose or forget where the screws go and only do it if u have the patience to play for a bit......

you would have to pop the dash trim off and there is always scews underneath trim and unscrew your stereo slide it out and disconnect wiring [ try not to cut any wires ] from it but it depends on what year your vehicle is some cars you can reach the wiring from underneath the dash if its a newer car its gonna be little confusing . if your gonna reinstall it in another car it might not work because most car stereos have an anti theft device built in

Reach behind it by putting your hand round the back of your centre console and push hard! also the little holes on the front, push nails in them to release the clips and then push from behind it. simple as.
