Don't forget everlasting hell. That was the first reason I started to question my Christian beliefs. I have too much love for my fellow man to follow a God who would permit eternal pain for any temporary act.

You need to understand that NO human can understand GOD. You see a few things, but NOT the PLAN.
JESUS is GOD , the WORD of GOD, the SPIRIT of GOD descended and entered the Apostles, giving them understanding. JESUS followed HIS plan, by HIS free will, and HIS choice. No one in 2006 has this gift in such a quantity, or purity.
Also your teacher, principle, parents have no compassion or patience with people that hurt you, or cheaters of the community you live. Same as GOD.
Those that worship (this) GOD do so by exercising their free will, and freedom of choice.

He Created us, not the other way around. We rejected Him first, not the other way around. We were created for His pleasure, not the other way around. He has the power, not the other way around.
There were angels that came down from heaven (nephlium) in Genesis 6 that started most of that trouble and those are the ones He sets in place. Cain killed Abel in Genesis 4 I think it is in. Cain was the child of Satan and it is his offspring that caused many troubles in the Bible and those are the ones that God sets in place. Those that are born of woman through sexual union have a choice to obey God or reject Him. Really study the Bible, you'll see that God is not an ogre, but a very loving, patient God.

What are you talking about? When was the last time you ask him to give you an understanding of his word & his will. Who or what have you been listening to? Not him looks like because you have no idea He Loves You For You.
Have A Blessed Life read your Bible everyday

The Bible was rewritten so many times, that's why the content doesn't make sense at all. Sometimes you also see that God is defeatable by human being, or God is not consistent with His words. What kind of God is that? The question is, whose fault was it, who altered the content of the Bible? The original Bible, perhaps, doesn't exist anymore. That is the real teaching of Jesus.

God is the potter. He molded the clay, He made the "pot's", He can do whatever He wants.
And if I was GOD, I probably would have destroyed the whole world and said forget about HEAVEN.
He is SOVEREING, (I may have mispelled that).
He is the CREATOR.
He does not make mistakes.
I BELIEVE IN HIM and am patiently awaiting HIS return.
I pray HE blesses you and has COMPASSION on you, as HE probably does everyday.
People made mistakes, BIG MISTAKES.
He is like our parents.
If our parents did not punish or correct us, we would think it was just okay to to any bad thing we wanted, then ...well
I hope I helped, some.

We'll soon know how humans will treat their creations. Between the advances in artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and cybernetics, humans won't be the lone intelligent species on Earth for much longer.
I wonder if our laws will be applied equally to our creations. I hope we don't treat them as horribly as the creator in the Bible stories treated his creations.

God is humanity's way of simplifying the world into bad and good because the world is too complex. God does not exist. Jesus was a cook.

Don't blame the God in the Bible for all our miseries. He had nothing to do with them. It's us humans who create our own misery. God gave us common sense and to make intelligent choices. We just happen to excel in blowing it and blaming God.

I dunno.
I remember a quote in the OT that had God saying something like "I threatened you, I tortured you, I killed you, and yet you still don't worship me" and all I could think was "I wonder why not."
It made me very sad.
