I do thank him and praise him all the time, but i think it is a miracle to wake up in the morning if you didn't say your prayers the night before.

Yeah, saying your prayers is important because we talk to God when we pray. The bible says, "The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much." Prayer is our time to go to God in thanksgiving, meditation, and if we have problems we want to discuss. God always offers a listening ear if we live for Him. So if we are God's children, let's pray and talk to Him on behalf of families, friends, and loved ones.

It is not possible because there is no God. There is just the human condition of suffering and the ignorance of it. Wanting to please a God so that you may receive a reward or stave of punishment, this is unproductive to mental and spiritual growth. Take responsibility for you own actions, replace faith with wisdom and you will find life to become easier. Wisdom is the understanding of the true nature of things. A lot of people can be intelligent, wisdom comes from experience, experience for them selves. Ignorance's causes suffering, wisdom on how to do things for you self, find the cause of problems as they are, not how you perceive them. This is the true path to enlightenment.

why pray only at night? prayer to me isnt reciting a poem about God, it's talking to him, and trying to listen to him.
1 thessalonians (dont remember the rest of the reference off hand) says to pray without ceasing. i ought to spend more time praying and less time on yahoo answers i guess :)
thats all i have to say. im going to bed now. goodnight!

If there was a god, I'd pray for world annihilation. Preferably by global thermonuclear war.
Rock on, god.
