He was concerned about a strange trasaction that appeared on his bank statement.
It was his own fault really, he had miscalculated his monthly budget, but the offputting attitude of the bank clerk coupled with the coaches long held regrets over never making to the pros pushed him over the edge and in that moment he snapped.... In a murderous rage he snatched the nearby telephone cord and wound it tight around the clerks neck, strangling him to death.
On a lighter note, he led the team later that week to a last minute win during the championship game.

the thing is, he wasnt really a football coach, he was only dressed up as one. he went to the bank to rob the place. and then from there....
