I was at his birthday party at his house. All of our friends were there. We're only 17 and 18. My BF was sitting on the couch with his buddies, he had his feet up on the table. He had socks on. I had an idea, and it sounded funny at the time. There were many different cakes and pies around-- way too much food than what was going to be eaten.
I grabbed a chocolate cream pie off the counter. It was pretty big. I walked over, sat on the table, and grabbed his socked feet under my arm. I trapped his feet so he couldn't move them. He began yelling playfully for me to stop. I took off both of his socks and tickled the bottoms of his feet with my fingers. He was laughing so hard. All of our friends were laughing.
So, I finally stopped tickling his feet. I then picked up the chocolate cream pie from the table, and I smashed it into the bottoms of his feet. I then tickled his feet again while they were covered in pie.
He's mad and said I embarassed him. Is he right? Was I wrong to do that?

I think that he had every reason to be angry. You embarrassed and humiliated him in front of his family and friends.

I am a man who is very ticklish and I LOVE to be tickled - in private. I do not like to be tickled in public because I don't like to be the center of attention and it does embarrass me.

The insult to the injury was when you smashed the pie on the bottoms of his feet.

This is one birthday which will go down in his memory as a painful memory.

I hope that he gets past it easily and I wish you both all the best.

Hmmm sounds kindof dumb to smash a choc. cream pie at the bottom of someones feet. I dont think you embarrassed him, what was embarrassing was the stupid way you acted. So since it was a dumb thing to do apologize and if he doesnt accept your apology move on....

My only problem with the situation is the terrible mess you probably made. Your boyfriend is mad- he is entitled to his feelings. You embarrassed him in front of his friends- you didn't mean to, but you did. Tell him you are sorry, And I am sure he will get over it.

the only reason he is mad is cos you made him look like a fool in front of his friends. guys dont like looking like fool in front of their friends especially if its their girlfriend that made them look like that. however what you did was only a light hearted joke. he should have keep laughing. you did nothing wrong. he is just being over sensitive. give him som e space and time and he will rrealise this himself.

if i was your bf i'd get mad too, i'd say that i was embarassed as well. so i guess he's right for being mad at you. just tell him you're sorry and you didnt mean to offend him or try to make him look stupid. don't worry he'll get over it :)
