You could leave little notes around where she will find them, ie, "It's 11PM, I miss you!"

You could enter the room and kiss her forehead and whisper to her that you hope she is sleeping well and having sweet dreams. Make sure her blanket is tucked up, or if she's too warm, pull it a bit off. Then leave the room.

You could make her a meal so she can eat when she wakes up. Eggs for eyes and a bacon mouth? Or just a heart drawn on toast with jelly (put jelly in a sandwich baggie, and cut off a corner to make a jelly icing bag)

But if you must, absolutely must prank her.....

Get a yard gnome, and take pictures of it just outside her window, and then inside the room, and finally right beside the bed.

When she wakes up, explain that you heard noises, you saw a peeping tom who actually made it into her room before you were able to catch him.

Then show her the pictures.

Be prepared to have the gnome thrown at you.
