I'd go in to the doctor and get looked at. Make sure it isn't a nerve problem.. Sometimes nerves can cause a burning pain if you irritated them. If it swollen or red and tight I would go in and get looked at sooner rather than later.

HI, the best thing to do is go to the Dr. I have lots of burning in my hands, I have carpel tunnel syndrome. If you do a lot of repetitious work it could very well be carpel tunnel..Good Luck!

Nerve inflamation will make your hands feel like they are burning. I have nerve damage in both arm that cause my hands to feel this way.

Mine does this sometimes. It also swells and gets kinda red. Try using Desenex (or other athlete's foot powder or cream) on it. Sometimes this is caused by the same fungus.
Hope it helps.
