I'm going to Seoul for some months, and wanted to know the best i can find for phone-rental. That is, cheaper (i rarely make international calls), better phones available, etc. Thanks^^

I wouldn't recommend a rental phone. They usually cost about 3,000won a day plus extra bits and pieces (I didnt rent a phone, so im not too sure on the exact prices).

Best thing to do, if possible, is to buy a second hand phone (some people give them away). Then get a prepaid account.
You can put a minimum of 5,000won on there at a time (about $5US). They can set you up at any 'membership' phone shops.

My first pre-paid phone was with KTF. I didn't really have any problems with it, but I didnt know how much money I had remaining on my phone, so sometimes on the weekend it would run out, and I would have to go to several 'members' shops to see if they would recharge it on the weekend (which they dont all do).

LG Telecom and SK Telecom also do prepaid versions, and I think that the prices are fairly similar.

If you don't have an 'alien' card, you will need a Korean person to put the phone under their name.
The phone number automatically deletes itself after 45 days after the money has run out (without re-charging). So if you have money on your phone, and leave the country, then come back again... you can still use the same number.

I've been to korea. In fact, I'm a Korean! You'll problaby need a good tour i\like me. But the phone rentals there are kind of cheap, I could say. It depends on what kind of phone you rent, whether it will be a celephone, the latest edition, and others things as well. when they say "an young ha sa yo", it means hello in Korean. "Mi chin nom" means ***** in korean, so don't say it!!!!
