i think a lot of it depends on the age of the person. Being 16, I have a very bright and vibrant room, bu I'm sure when im older I'l want more pastel colors that will make the room warmer and more relaxing. When I'm amrried with kids I'm going to be busy so I'll want something to come home to and relax in. As of nw, im not married and not having kids any time soon! =) so il live with bright colors as long as i can <3

For my bedroom I prefer a peaceful one, not elegant, though. I like the Asian style.
I want light green walls, wood floor or brown weaved/burber carpet.
Black furniture, light green, long, flowing drapes and brown wood blinds.
My bedding would be light green, black and cream with chinese writing, maybe. On all flat surfaces (furniture) bamboo covers/mats. Big vases with bamboo sticking out. Vases green, black, light brown, whatever.
Trim an offwhite or cream color.
A chinese fountain either on wall or on a flat surface.
Chinese writing pictures that are black on the walls.
Chinese pictures of serene and soft garden scenery, maybe.
Anyway, most of my room is already like this.
Just can't change the flooring or the walls since I'm renting!!
BUT, my living room I want to have bright colors! I want reds, for sure!

Definitely bright and very colorful. Every room in my home is a different color some rooms multiple colors. It's boring to be all the same or light colors. Are you a spunky outgoing person?? Don't be afraid to show it. The brighter the color the bigger the smile. For myself at least. :)

I like bright colors. If done right, they can look very nice and not tacky at all. I feel more ALIVE in a bright room versus a nuetral one. I feel younger and more energetic. Also, i feel like people are more comfortable to be themselves in a room that looks like you can really LIVE in it versus a room that is a color that you should "behave" in if that makes any sense...
