If so, is there any religion that would absolutely prevent you from marrying that person if he/she believes in it?

If one were not a Jehovah's Witness, then that one would not know what the bible says about marrying "in the Lord", so it would be out of "biblical ignorance" that someone would marry someone else who believes in a different religion. (which isn't wrong, it's just that that one doesn't know what the bible says about it). But if one did know, then being a JW would "prevent" or a better word, "protect" that one from marrying a person in a different religion. Reason being, that different religions are bringing many controversies, wars, opinions, violence, etc. So why not just try to lessen the "stress" of marriage with one less thing to worry about?

You really aren't supposed to because then you are unevenly "yoked"
so to speak but I did. I also conviced my husband after 10 years
of marriage to switch to mine. It took a lot of praying but it worked.
As far as any religion preventing it, I think that may have been
true with some. I wanted someone who still had the core beliefs.
It wasn't so much about someone with the same religion as it
was someone who believed in the Bible and Jesus Christ as I
did. I did date a lot of athiests and people with other religions. When you are young and not so serious you don't think of it until
the occasion arrises.

Religion is a PRACTICE of faith. When two individuals want to marry and have different practices of faith, then they must also agree on the base lines of each practice and allow the other choice. When marrying love should be the cord that binds together, not religion.

Yes, I would (and am - he's agnostic) marry someone of a different religion.

A religious barrier that would keep me from marrying someone, regardless of what that religion is, is a lack of respect for my beliefs, or ongoing attempts to "save" or convert me.

I also couldn't marry someone whose religious beliefs included ritual animal sacrifice (i.e Santeria), because that is a violation of MY religious beliefs (Harm None).

If his beliefs weren't harming anyone, my spouse would be welcome to believe what he wanted, so long as he afforded me the same courtesy.

I have no religion but I would definitly marry a religious man so long as we were in love. I wouldn't join his religion though.

No, even if I could deal with her being a different religion how would we raise our children.

I have seen enough times when a mixed marriage just messes up the kids

I probably wouldnt...if our religions were very different. If I was Baptist and I loved a Pentacostal, then sure but I couldnt be Christian and marry a Muslim or JW or Buddhist.

No I probably wouldn't. I would be forced to marry ina church I didn't like and also conform to a religion I didn't believe in.

Personally, for me it would depend on the person. If my fiance spent time trying to convert me to his faith, then definitely not. If he wasn't okay with me raising my kids in (or at least exposing them to) my faith, then I wouldn't marry him. Its not just about me and him... its about the family we would start- its important to look ahead.
