is it wiered to talk to my dog Dusty?

No, Dusty may not understand the words you say (although I think for a large part dogs do) but her will understand the tone of your voice. A dog is a friend, as well as another living thing and they need to be spoken to just like a baby does.

No, not at all. I have two cats and I talk with them all the time. It is the only way you can communicate with them, and you would be amazed at how much they are able to understand. The average cat and dog has the mind of a five year old child. Most five year olds these days are really intelligent. Talk with Dusty and be proud. he is listening.

Absolutely not. I honestly think that dogs understand every word of our language. They are just hard headed and don't want us to know that they understand. They speak their own language to throw us off of knowing that they are smart enough to know what we're saying. Is that weird for me to think that??

Talking to your dog is not only normal, it's necessary to socialize the dog.
However, writing notes to it would be weird.

I dont think so, I talk to my dog all the time. I think he likes it, and it shows that you love him/her.

nope not weird as long as your not expecting her to talk back...at least not in human words!! LOL!! i talk to my little pug all the time& she seems to love it when i do, even if they cant understand everythign your saying theyknow your comunicating w them & this shows love & compassion!!!
