That is when someone leads a life that is off the beaten path.
It really is a vague term.
It can range from Prostitution, drugs or the excentric old man on your block.
When someone says a person has a deviant lifestyle.
The listener will always ask, "How so?" or "In what way?"

Marks of being deviant: having kids out of wedlock, having piercings, tattoos, excessively drinking, doing drugs, partying, sleeping around etc.
