The gold standard is intestinal biopsy looking for blunting of the villi on your intestinal cells. You could also have blood work run for anti-glidan antibodies.

I was 18 (21 now) when i found out i had Celiac Disease after having my first child. I went to the doctors because i had diarrhea everyday with horrible stomach cramps, my bones ached severely, fatigue and i had horrible mood swings. People tried telling me it was postpartum depression but I still got it checked out by having a blood test taken and also found out that even if you get just alittle gluten in your diet it can cause your organs to malfunction and not be able to digest vitamins also puts you at risk for cancer and other health problems if you dont deal with it right away. It took me 2 years to get on a totally gluten free diet and i now feel great. My mother went to get tested after I found out I had Celiac Disease and also has it(no one knew that it was in the family ) ...she had severe damage to her intestines and colon and had no symptoms except for bad skin problems like acne and rashes. I strongly recommend getting checked ASAP. http://www.celiac.com for more information, very helpful website for people not familiar with this genetic disease.

There are many symptoms for people that have Celiac. My kid has it and the symptoms were stomach aches, diarrhes, failure to grow, developmental delays, and headaches.
It can only be confirmed by a biopsy of the small intestine.
