It's a very powerful reflex...like when your knee gets hit with a hammer and your leg jumps...when you sneeze it triggers a reflex that causes your eyes to close.

Because it's just a reflex. Some people can sneeze with their eyes open and some people can’t. Sneezing is a reflex and so is closing our eyes. We have no control over whether or not we close our eyes when we sneeze. Some people don’t have reflex, so when they sneeze then their eyes won’t close. Some people try to close their eyes so when they sneeze their eyes won’t pop out. Your eyes don’t really pop out. People without the reflex to sneeze with their eyes open can try to train themselves to sneeze with their eyes open. One good way to do this is if when you sneeze you hold your eyes open.

it actually helps to keep the eyes in the sockets. the muscles that control the blink reflex contract and "hold the eyeballs during a sneeze.

Its a natural process..our eyes automatically close when we sneeze...if you dont..your eyes may pop out...

If is physacil in possible to keep them open with out damage and if you do you eyes will pop out.

i think it is because if you sneeze real hard that it is possible for your eyeballs to be dislodged from their sockets.
