Do not tell him anything. Why don't you try making him a good kisser and show him some of the techniques you like. Why hurt his feelings when you could help him. If you do not like your lips being nibbled on tell him so and say here lets try this and maybe show him something different. Help him, what a concept..

If you like the way he kisses even though he is a bad kisser, you don't have to say anything just enjoy

straight up tell him to stop - teach him how you would like to be kissed and work it out with him you know - and things will be peachy. Don't be scared to offer your advice! They are your lips honey and if you want him to kiss better you simply have to be the one to show him the way (before some other girl does)! Now GO! Kiss away!

Give subtle hints about the kind of kisses that you want to have. Drop them every so often when you're having talks about random stuff. If a romantic movie or something just finished, mention a kissing scene, and be like "oh! Do you know what I really like--- etc etc"

Dont, it will hit his ego too hard. Just take the initiative by telling him very nicely to stop.... tell him also that you are going to kiss him in a very special way. That way you take control and teach him without explicitly telling him. Now if you dont know how to kiss either.... just do it slow, close your eyes and try to enjoy it. Slow is ALWAYS the best way when you are a rookie. Let me know how it goes if you follow my advice ! Good Luck.

I think the best thing to do would be to tell him that different girls like to be kissed in different ways. Tell him you think he's a great kisser, but that you'd like him to try (fill in the blank). That way he won't be embarrassed and you'll be able to tell him what you want.

Best advice I ever got about this: kiss him like you want him to kiss you! Guys can be retrained fairly easily, just take the initiative. I didn't think it could be that simple, but I tried, anyway, and saw a major difference within a couple days!

Tell him. Chances are he knows it. I've told 2 girls in my past that they were not good kissers. Neither got defensive. After the initial embarassment wore off, they asked me what they did wrong. I told/showed them and they instantly improved.
Don't worry about hurting their feelings. It will only sting for a minute and you are really helping him out in the future if he moves onto other women :)

Oh my gosh, you have to tell him. My husband was a bad kisser, he used to scratch me with his teeth. and I never told him becasue I didn't want to hurt his feelings, and after 12 years of barely kissing I told him. This almost ruined my marriage among other things...
Just be very gentle, men's egos are very sensitive, insted of telling him what it's wrong with him, tell him how would you like to get kissed. Say: "Look honey, you know what really turns me on? If you kiss me like this."... and then proceed to teach him. Tell him to follow your lead and just describe what you like. He'll be very much up for it.

He just doesnt know how, or hes scared.
But there no real way to explain to a person that they are bad at kissing. When you intentionally tell someone they suck at something, your almost asking to ruin whatever friendship you and that person originally had.
See, you get better with practice, so just take control when your kissing him, and hence, he'll eventually figure it out, based upon how you do it.
