as a matter of observation, many people create God in their image.
that is why we see so many people here dam ning others to eternal punishment(even God will not do that)

Yes - it is all in the human mind
So if I come up with a new concept for a God - say My God did not create the universe, it was all ready there. But he has special powers of doing X,Y and Z etc. If I manage to get few like the Christians and the Muslims to believe in what I say - do up a book (interesting than ) like the Bible, we gotta god !

Anyone is capable of creating a god. A god is simply something (or someone) that you worship. It can be the computer, the TV, a girfriend...ect. ANYTHING. The question you need to be asking is can someone create a god with the Biblical God's characteristics. The answer to that would be no. I'd like to see someone try though.

Yes we can create fake Gods. But CS Lewis says people don't create anything. The only creator is God, so all we do is little musings that reflect something that God Created.

The God you are describing is the one we already have.
God is by His nature the only one who can create because creation is an act of infinite power.
God cannot be created because He is existence, He cannot recieve it from someone else.

i think all the gods that man creates are really just aspects of the great androgyne. we use these aspects as understandable natures of god/dess. it's interesting to me how people always claim one nature as the true god.

We are all guilty of creating our own gods: Power, money, sex, etc.
That's easy. Getting rid of those gods, now that's the hard part.
