I've never heard of this, maybe you have a tight cuticle, so instead of the hair absorbing the dye it's just running right off. You should probably see a professional their products are better. They could also presoften your hair, maybe that would work(to presoften they apply just the developer without the dye for a few minutes then they mix up the dye & apply it tot he hair as well).
It is also better to dye the hair when it ISN'T clean. Your hair will absorb the dye better that way.

go to a salon. If you cannot afford this dont wash your hair 2 days before you dye it and wait 2 days after to wash it again. your hair may look dirty but it should help hold the dye. Some will wash out either way because you have to rinse it out and off your scalp and neck if your sloppy but it should hold better.

have it done professionally. You may need a bit of a better product like they have in salons to get it to stay in your hair. Or at the very least ask your hairdresser they can give you tips to make it work.
Good luck

Because hair doesn't need to be dyed. you look fine with your natural color. don't be cajoled into doing something that isn't necessary by the advertising fools who only want you to spend money on the products they sell.

Why not try going natural? Unless you're gray there's no reason to cover up your haircolor.

Don't wash your hair before you dye it...........The oils in your hair follicles help the dye to stay put...........Take care............
