First I would get rid of all the greed and selfishness in the world and bring back the caring and helping and sharing. I would make everyone equal especially on the money issue. There would be no more rich, poor, or in between. Everyone would have enough money to support their families sufficiently. Actually things were better a long time ago when people were more self sufficient and did not depend so much on money and material things. People were not so greedy. I think the world would be better if we could rid it of greed and selfishness and everyone would help each other. The world needs more love and less hate.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful,
committed people can change the world.
Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
~ Margaret Mead ~
"Each time a person stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others,
or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope,
and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring,
these ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls
of oppression and resistance."
~ Robert Kennedy ~
"I am only one, but still I am one.
I cannot do everything, but still I can do something;
And because I cannot do everything
I will not refuse to do the something that I can do."
~ Helen Keller ~
"We don’t have to engage in grand, heroic actions to
participate in the process of change.
Small acts, when multiplied by millions of people,
can transform the world."
~ Howard Zinn (Historian) ~

"I wanted to change the world.
But I have found that the only thing one can be sure of changing is oneself."
~ Aldous Huxley ~
"Follow the path of the unsafe, independent thinker.
Expose your ideas to the dangers of controversy.
Speak your mind and fear less the label of 'crackpot' than the stigma of conformity.
And on issues that seem important to you,
stand up and be counted at any cost."
~ Thomas J Watson (1874-1956) ~
"People who are willing to give up freedom for the sake of short
term security, deserve neither freedom nor security."
~ Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) ~

Only one? The world would be a better place if all of us Americans would stop whining about everything and just do what's right-stay out of the world's business.

I would teach new parents about the importance of breastfeeding, attachment parenting, co-sleeping, and never letting your baby cry-it-out. I know these things would help make a difference in the world, because there would be less sickness, more trust, and smarter people. Breastfeeding alone helps accomplish this provided that the mother maintains a healthy diet. Attachment parenting also helps babies trust, learn about the world around them, and begin talking sooner. Co-sleeping reduces the occurences of SIDS. Never letting your baby cry-it-out reenforces the trust between the babies and parents. I know these things would help the world because they would help produce more secure individuals. I would also teach more people about Jesus and encourage them to follow His example and commandments just because this would help them get to a better world, Heaven.

I don't think there is a right or wrong answer,it's based on individual beleif. In my opinion there is so much that needs to be done. What I would start off with is a friendly smile and a nice gesture towards someone. It's easy and the cost is free.Otherwise I would be like Angelina Jolie and donate a third of my earnings to charity.Unfortunately I don't have her financial resources.

create and distribute (free of course) a self perpetuating clean energy generator that would run all electrical, heating, cooling needs as well as your vehicals ...in that way, we would get out of the middle east where those oil rich nations would suddenly be poor and not powerful, we woould no longer need nuclear energy in any form, and we would be able to better farm and create food to feed the world's hungry. My compensation would be minimal (I would like to have a home in West Maui on the beach all expenses paid for life and a summer home in Sturbridge on Walker Pond in Massachusetts..I think it would be a good deal all around, don't you?)

I would make sure that all the children in this world not one of then would lose their innocence, they all have clothes on their back, food in their mouths and people who loved and cared for them. Being they were never asked to be brought here, and they are children so they can't be 100% self sufficient.

Take away all the guns, rockets and missiles etc. Maybe put all the heads of the different countries in a fighting cage and let them battle it out. Although I think Bush might be pretty weak
