Basically any bank will allow you to open up an account regardless of your age, but you must have a parent or guardian with you in order to open up the account. I am positive that Chase bank will let you open one up with your parent/guardian.

Unfortunately, you will not likely be able to get an account solely owned by you until you are 18. Until then, a parent or guardian will need to be on the account with you. I would suggest talking to a local credit union to start with rather than a large bank. They are usually owned by the members themselves and you have more say in what's done with the money you are saving. Also, when you are ready to open a checking account, most credit union's will also give you dividends on the money you keep in the checking as well as your savings. My local credit union has a specialized account for underage kids and their parents so it's fun and in the process you learn how to manage your money so you can take over when you come of age. Four years may seem like a long time but it'll pass by quicker than you know. :)

No bank will allow you to open a bank account solely in your name unless you are an emancipated minor. in order to open an account you must sign a contract, you cannot do this until you have reached the age of majority. you can go to any bank with a parent and open a savings account with your mother or father. you will need to show ID to access the money but it is a good start.

what kind of account are you trying to go for?

checking, savings, cd?

most banks have AT LEAST 15 as a minimum age for a checking account.

otherwise, you might go for a savings account with a guardian listed as the custodian of your account.

You can't by yourself. You have to have an account on your parent or guardian's account. You can't sign any papers legally until you're 18.
