Expensive vodkas are normally distilled several times. This makes it smoother and also no hangover.

Cheaper vodkas are distilled only once.

CIROC is distilled 5 times and it is the only vodka that I know is distilled from grapes (not potatoes or grains). Very expensive.

XO vodka (by Jean-Marc Daucourt) is distilled 9 times. Very expensive, too. Heard it is about USD50.00 per bottle.

This one, you must try - Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka. From Poland and it had a leaf of bison grass in the bottle.

I have studied this extensively, and found that more expensive vodkas (like Belvedere) result in less hangover than cheap vodkas (like Popov). I'm sure there's a limit to the bang for your buck ratio - I bet a $25 vodka is just as good as a $50. And there's always the 'wanna get trashed now and broke' mentality where Popov and Coke is great.

Let's experiment:
I have a bottle of Belvedere and Popov. Here we go...

First round of shots:
Belvedere: seems good, smoooooooth, w/bite
Popov: not bad, tasty, woooo hoooo

Second round of shots:
Belvedere: still good, smoooooooth, w/bite
Popov: still not bad, tastey, woooo hoooo

Tird round of shots:
Belvedeer: stil god, smooooooo, w/bit
Popo: stil bot nad, tasteys, hoooo hoooo

For rund of shoots:
Belly: gill stood, mooooooo, huh?
Pop off:

No, its really true actually. Premium vodka has less impurities. Premium anything is your best best to avoid a hangover. I can drink a few glasses of crappy beer and wakeup with the worst headache ever and the shakes! I can drink a ton of Stoli or Belvedere Vodka and wake up with a smile.

better ingredients, better distilling process, i mean not all expensive vodkas are good and just cause 1 is more expensive than another doesnt make it better. but like many things out there if its really cheap sometimes they cut corners somewhere.
personally i think finlandia is the best, its expensive but not the most expensive but i think it taste the best

More expensive Vodka is filtered and refined more, distilled slower and aged longer. All things which make a better quality alcohol.

The purification process is more refined. They spend more time processing and purifing the substance. Whereas cheaper is a quick processing plant. Its like all things chepaer in life, they spend less time on it. Its like the difference between designer clothes and off the rack clothes.

IT IS MORE SMOOTH AS TO THE TASTE. NOT AS HARSH AND IT DOESN'T CAUSE AS BAD OF A HANGOVER, IF ANY HANGOVER. THAT DEPENDS ALSO ON HOW MUCH YOU DRINK.
