I agree with the fact that a first cousin is too close. Second, isn't so bad. Third isn't bad at all.

Hi there,
Marrying a close relative significantly increases the chance of your child being deformed and/or mentally retarded.
That is why it is illegal in so many places.
You would need to be very distant cousins (3rd plus) to reduce the risks. However, the risk is still very high compared to those who are not genetically related.
You need to seriously consider the risks involved in having children.

Well personally i find it to be disgusting, and I suppose it depends on how far back yous are related. Mind you one classic example of kissing cousins is the Royal Family. Don't they marry their cousins, is that royal blood (blue blood). Well that's just my opinion but if you look at indigenous cultures you would find that we did marry our own relatives to keep our land and possessions in the families.

I think you can't help who you love but your children would pay the price. First of all your genetic make up is too similiar and they could have mental issues or physical deformaties. Not to mention the torture they would endure growing up if the other kids in school found out. Not a good idea...

I don't think i have any available cousins that i would want to date, much less marry...but far as i know, marrying your cousin was acceptable, and even expected, several years ago, back before cars caught on and there wasn't much travel. I guess they had to take what was there.

It's weird (and usually illegal) everywhere except the following states:
Arkansas
Mississippi
Louisiana
West Virginia
parts of Kentucky
OK, it's illegal those places as well, but it hasn't stopped some of them from doing it...
