The best foods are the ones that maintain your electrolytes (potassium, calcium and sodium) since they're quickly depleted when you sweat. You also need to maintain good hydration, so liquids are very necessary. Also make sure you keep the foods simple...not fried, mayo'd or greased up.

Simple chicken shish kebabs

eating very light foods puts the least amount of stress on your body. fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats and fish- skip the beef, cereals. avoid fatty foods, salty foods and junk. cold food will help you cool off from the inside. its easy. love ice cream? try frozen yogurt. leg cramps from all the water? watermelon is your answer. need a little snack? try a handful of cereal- no milk. dinner? cold chicken breast over a big salad with fat free dressing.

i dont know what you eat in wetern culture...as for us chinese we do eat certain things to keep the body cooling....first avoid eating heaty food like grill, BBQ or roast or deep fry...this is regard heaty food to your body and internally also....try to eat things regard as cool food...like u can buy the Chrysanthemum and cook with sugar and then drink the water....u also can try one of the dessert that is famous in Penang, Malaysia. u can have shave ice with rose syrup & rootbeer syrup and evaporated Milke....u also can put some reb beans and corn....will is cooling in the heart wave....trust me you will like it a lot......hope can help you

Ugh, do not eat corned beef or corned beef sandwiches. It will give you a bad tummyache. Chicken salad is a good thing to eat.
