ive and she is really getting on my nerves. What can I say to her that is respectful but not to harsh like "Will you please leave me alone and go do some work"? Do you think that is to harsh or should I say something else? Help!

Tell her that she's a great lady, and you'd really enjoy talking to her at some point or another, but you're too busy at work, and you've got a platefull at the moment. You don't mean any offense, but could she just tone it down a few notches.

Tell her that because you are just starting in this job and want to make a good impression you'll rather not talk to her during office hours. That you are afraid other people might think your are not doing your job because you are chatting with her.

Just say something like. "Wow it is amazing how you can take the time to talk with me and still get your work done. Ya know I am really gunna have to learn to multi task one day but for now do you think you would mind just letting me concentrate on my job here."

Just tell her that you wish you could manage to chat and work at the same time, but it's just too hard for you to concentrate, and would she mind if you pick things up later?

I would first mention it to your supervisor that you are being distracted from your duties by this talkitive woman. This will cya. Next, use the previously given advise to confront her with the problem.

Tell her, "I need to get my work done, why don't we chat at break/lunch?" Then if that doesn't work then you can go to your supervisor.
