to be one of your bridesmaids, even if you havent been friendly with her in the past 5 years, but was before that for like 5 years, and recently for the past year?

Sure . . . you've been friends for years! Whatever happened to cause you both to be somewhat distant for awhile obviously doesn't matter so just go ahead and ask her.

If you are uncomfortable asking her to be a bridesmaid there is always a candle lighter or they can man the guest book, or at the reception with the cake or gifts, this way you've included her, but not in a high profile area as your closer friends.

no i wouldnt. a bridesmaid is someone that you are close to and trust to help you with getting your wedding ready. it doesnt seem to me that you are that close with her and would only be doing it out of obligation.

Probably not, but then I only had my very best friend, and 2 of my sisters. My youngest sister was a flower girl. If you want to ask her, then ask her. Best of luck to you!

It is up to you, your the bride, its your choice...... and its a plus if she agrees with the person your getting married to.....but basically its up to you.... best of luck with your wedding!!!!!
