Because maybe deep down inside you just don't want to agree with your mum, so you have having an emotional fight with yourself.
Your soul wants you to be honest and your ego is holding you back.
You know that old saying that truth hurts, well I guess you are hurting.
I see you have a great lesson to learn, so don't just agree with someone to make someone else happy, say what you think feels right for you, maybe you just have to find the right words.

what are u agreeing to???? that would make you cry???
Being 17 has nothing to do with it..I don't think. Something is not right with this whole thing though.
Its very respectful of you to speak to her with manners...good job on that part.
But you must answer them questions for yourself first, then you can figure out the rest.
God Bless

well...... im 15..... and, i cant stand agreeing with my mom, letting her say the stupid crao she does and not saying anything about it, or as you put it, being loyal..... if im in a good mood i can, but im not in a good mood often, lol. but, it just frustrates me a lil. maybe it puts you to the point of wanting to cry. id need more details, but thats what i think.

well that is because maybe you finally feel as if your mom understands you i dont know but it seems like if your mother was not that affectionate with you when you were growing up have you ever tried hugging her ? or asking her to tell you how much she loves you? I think you need her affection.

You probably dont want to on th inside and its "killin" you to do so ormaybe something from the past between you too is sub consciously bothering....I would see a counselor.

Been there...it means you love your mom, that inside you really do appreciate her. You are probably a good son and a good person.

I would seek out professional help from a therapist.

Good luck.
