Creatine monohydrate in high amounts is very dangerous to your kidneys and liver. Monohydrate also causes your body to retain water, which is what can cause some of your weight gain. A creatine ethyl ester is a much safer alternative. It has no loading phase and a three minute absorption rate. GNC carries a product called CE2 that is closer to the creatine that your body actually makes. It is in pill form. WHat this product does is it helps your muscles get repair and energy. That way your workouts, when you use it, are more effective. Creatine can be a great addition to your supplment list, if used correctly. Good luck, and remember if you are using creatine, drink LOTS of water

No, its not bad at all!(where did you hear that?) Its probably the best and most effective supplement on the market today. I've been using it off and on for at least the past ten years and have seen dramatic results, often within weeks of taking it. You will gain some weight and depending on your body type you could look great or you could look big and bloated. Probably not recommending for the natural ly big boys(unless of course you want to look bigger in a puffy way). The only side effects I've ever heard of are occasional stomach problems during the loading phase, but those usually go away after a few days. I've never experienced that effect myself, but some friends have. Go ahead--try it--there's really no risk to it. Weight gainer will make you fat--creatine will help build muscle.

Creatine is a natural product, a protein, that will help build muscle. It is nothing like steroids or anything. I dont even think you can overdose. Go to a store like HI HEALTH or GNC and ask them about it, they'll be able to tell you EVERYTHING. And you will only get fat if you eat like you are a bodybuilder but dont exercise. That will make you fat. But not if you take it and get big muscles, and work out and eat well.

I believe creatine in increased doses can have a negative effect on your kidneys, I would consult a doc prior to starting it.

You won't get fat if you use it when you workout. But it changes my mood and generally changes the way I feel overall. That can't be good. My advice would be to stay away from it. With the money you save you can eat steak and potatoes twice a day
