its hard to answer that question if you dont have kids, but I would say that as much as I used to say that I wouldn't I defintely let my kids get away with too much. Its not because I don't want to I just give up at times.. But I wish I never had, it just makes it's so much harder to regain that control in the future. Don't fall in that trap. say what you mean and mean what you say!!!

As much as I hate to admit it, Yes. I let my first daughter get away with so much for so long that she can be a terror sometimes, and now it's hard for me to get a handle on her since I am ready to be the enforcer of rules. It's been too long with her being rule free that she doesn't understand why things are different now. I have a nine month old daughter too and I am trying to be more firm with her early on so I don't have this problem again.

I thought I would because when I was home I always said things like "when I have kids I'm gonna let them go wherever they want and give them whatever they want".
Holy cow, parenting is hard and I now I am turning into my parents. It's all about raising the kids the right way.

Yes I do. So what if someone sneaks a doughnut they are only young once. When it comes to important things no. Always follow through.

For those of you who have no kids and say no I wouldnt Im in charge. Let me ask you this. Are you? Does your child eat when YOU say they do? Do you change them when YOU feel like it? Do they sleep when YOU decide? If you think about it logically infants, and toddlers ARE in charge NOT you!
