Declawing sometimes changes the personality of a cat. She is acting out in anger because you had her declawed and she doesn't understnad why she has to go through such a traumatic experience. Give her some time, maybe she will get past the trauma of it, and get back to her normal self.

If she just got declawed, she could be angry. My kitten did that and also chewed her feet! But, after a good meal of wet kitten food, she got over it.
Make sure that the litter is the correct kind (Such as clay not scoopable, or the recycled newspaper kind) it is easier on their feet.
Also I found that a LOW cat pan is better in this situation, it eases on the jumping into and out of the litter box. (I have a low box that I used for all my cats, I kept it in my cleaning closet and used it when needed) You can get a cheap one at the dollar store!

WAY TO GO! You mutilated your cat, that depended on you to make sure it stayed happy and free from pain, instead you let it down by having its toes cut off. Its painful for the cat to use the box, so she is associating the pain with the litter box so she went outside the litterbox.

If your cat just got declawed, switch from granular-type litter to shredded newspaper for a while - she can still move it around but it won't hurt her paws. (Imagine if you had the tips of all your fingers amputated and stitched up - would *you* want to dig through sand or litter?)

It's because you de-clawed the cat. She now doesn't have any protection for her paws when she digs in the cat litter. Poor thing!
