My husband is 12 yrs older than me. Pretty much all of the guys I've dated throughout my teens and later years have been anywhere from 5 to 12 yrs older than me. There's just something secure about dating someone much older.

Sure they do. It's a money thing. That's the only reason I can think of that a younger woman would want an older man. When I was younger I would've never dated an older man. Just out of curiousity, what part of Texas are you from? I'm from Texas too and I just don't seee very many people here from Texas.

why not..it is common isn't it...ok first of all some women prefer older men as they seem more mature and loving perhaps...but most of them would think practically or i would say materialistic...maybe they have something a women wants in a man..stressing the main importance MONEY...so it is really the individual person itself....

Absolutely! But contrary to what some close minded people who have no business judging age gap relationships may say, you can be in love with the person and not their money. I fell in love with my boyfriend (who is 21 years older) for who he is, not what he has. He is the nicest, sweetest, most incredible person I have ever known, and I consider myself lucky to have him in my life. Love is the most incredible feeling in the world, and age shouldn't stop us from experiencing it.

yeap! my bf is 5 years older than me too and i really couldnt see myself dating someone any younger than that...i just have more to talk about with someone older...

yes they do. my ex is 31 and his new girlfriend is 18. so apparently it's true. i've always preferred younger guys myself.
