the best fathers are the ones that are their for their children. No matter how tired you are at the end of the day make time to hold them and tell them that you love them. Let them see you treat their mother with respect and love help her around the house or change extra diapers do the 2 am feeding or let her take a nap when she has been cooped up with the kids all day. And don't forget about the two children she already has. You might not be their father and this one will be but they need to know that you love them and will be there for them just as much if not more. It is hard being a step kid. Being a parent doesn't come with an nstruction manual it is learn as you go but with love and patience you can make it.

being a single mom of two let me tell you all it takes are a few things. First make sure and help your girlfriend form the get go. I mean with anything. Second always make time for your child. Even if you have had a bad day at work and all you want to do is relax, take five minutes as soon as you get home and just pay attention to your child. Nothing else. Not the t.v. or taking of your shoes, or even getting a drink. Just love on your child for five minutes. You will be amazed at the difference it makes and so will your girlfriend. Plus five minutes is like an eternity to your child and your girlfriend will probably enjoy getting to go to the bathroom with some peace and quite.

Well, you be a good father just by loving, caring, and being there for your children. And since your gf has kids of her own. You need to do the same with her kids. Dont treat them any different. Make sure you are the one who gets up for the 2am feeding every night. The more time you spend with your kids, the stronger a bond is formed. And that bond is what says you are a good father. Like I said. Just love them, care for them, and main thing, be there when they need you. Thats what a good father does.

Good luck with your new family.

treat each kid the same. if you're with the girl you're with the other two kids as well. you have to treat them just as well.

just make sure your baby comes first before everything you wanna do. he/she will be your first priority. teach him/her good values and make sure he/she looks at the world with a positive attitude. spend lots of time with your child.

deal with ur wifes moodiness and be by her side 24/7. be there for your kid, and your wifes kid, and show u care. its very hard to have some new guy come in and play "dad" show them u aren't trying to replace their dad. understand if they rn't willing to accept u right away. your new baby, dont smoke be a good role model. play with him/her. take part in raising him/her. like changing diapers, walking with the stroller. dont be afraid to be "mr mom" its an insult if you dont wanna take care of him/her.

GOOD LUCK! :D

Patience, patience, patience, with your girlfriend, her children, your newborn, and with yourself. It doesn't come completely naturally, but you'll have instincts about things. Pay attention to your child, and love him/her unconditionally. Sleep when you can, and stay calm. Good luck Daddy.

Be there for you child no matter what happens. Even if you decide one day to leave your girlfriend ALWAYS be committed to your child. My boyfriend has a son by his ex and what I admire most is no matter how much she ticks him off, he is always there for his boy. I know he would give his life for his son.
